VEGAN CARAMEL SLICE

This slice is very nostalgic of intermediate cooking class. Try it out & let us know.

Dry Ingredients 

  • 1/2 cup almond flour or grind whole almond to a crumb-like consistency.

  • 1/2 cup Hemp protein powder

  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut

  • 1/2 cup white rice flour

  • 1/2 cup raisins

  • 3 tsp baking powder

Wet ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons flaxseed soaked in 1/4 cup of hot water for around 15 mins

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • 2 Tablespoons treacle

  • 3 Tablespoons Savour Butta

Directions

  1. Combine the wet and dry ingredients

  2. Adding a little more water if necessary.

  3. Press into a lined baking dish.

  4. Bake at 200C for around 10 to 15 mins.

  5. Allow to cool before icing

Icing

  • 1/2 cup icing sugar

  • 1 teaspoon Butta

  • Around 2 Tablespoons of hot water

  1. Place the Butta and icing sugar into a bowl and add the hot water slowly, 2 teaspoons at a time until you have a not too runny icing.

  2. You may not need all the water

  3. When the slice is cool, drizzle the icing over the top.
